As March Marches In

I contemplate the deepest parts of winter.  Temperatures don't matter to us. We neither feel hot nor cold so it's always perfect for us. We do keep the castle at a balmy 17 degrees (celsius), to keep our guests at their happiest.

Caius has a lot of business contacts and entertaining them is something that pleasures him greatly. We have had a few lately that he is so happy with due to his vineyard business being successful. Our grounds are vast and of course we don't tend our own grapes.…

Weekend Camping trip at Shi Shi Beach!

You may not believe it but I do get the occasional day off. Sue and I jumped in the jeep and hit the trail. We drove up the coastline, stopped along the way so Sue could snap some shots. The beach looks amazing even in the rain so it didn't matter that we were driving in and out of rain all day.

We headed north on the 101 and jumped on 112 and took the coastal route. It was a nice, easy drive.…

Alice's Birthday Party!

So yesterday I went to Alice's Birthday party. It was awesome! I'm not sure who decorated but yeah, they can come do my birthday party! I loved the flowers and balloons! The balloons were huge and round and had dim flashing lights in them to make them sort of glow. It was so cool! They had cupcakes, brownies, cookies and for lunch there was chili, Texas toast and chips and salsa. Texas toast is this huge chunk of bread that was totally covered in garlic butter. I'm going to ask my mom if we…

Struck

Struck.

Have you ever been so overwhelmed by something good or bad that your entire world stops cold. Every second, molecule, atom just freezes as you catch up with the reality that this moment is really happening.

That is how I felt when I first saw Jasper. I knew what to expect..I had seen it in my visions over a million times. I knew what he would look and act like. I knew how the night would unfold. There should have been no surprises and yet, actually…

Sunday supper

We're having supper with Billy and Tiffany tonight. I'm so excited because that means I get to play with Aerie! I know she's like 2 years old but she's so cute and funny! I love going there too because they have a sweet kitty named Snickers and my mom is not into cats, like at all. She says cats and dont mix. I think they would be fine. I want a cat!!

We're having some kind of chicken and rice and vegetables. Mom and I are bringing brownies that we made! They're still warm and gooey!…

First Celebrations

My first birthday with John:

Have you ever had a perfectly wonderful day that you never wanted to end, and that you wanted it to go on forever? I did and it was Saturday and it was thanks to John. I know he said that his sister Kat helped, but everything was his idea. It still blows my mind that he even wanted to do anything for my birthday, and I have to say I have never felt so special. And the necklace..that beautiful necklace. He will never understand how much it all…

Signs

Sometimes all we need is a sign to lead us to our destiny. The sign can come from anywhere and be anything, it just needs to be recognized and followed for what it is.  I received one such sign in early 1651, just a few months before I found my Liam…..

Early Spring 1651

I do not know how long I have been walking today, but I find myself in a desert of sorts just north of the Caspian Sea. I so enjoy this part of Europe, and I am finding it rather odd that I have never found this…

Fools

Fools. The lot of them are simply fools as no other explanation exists for their behaviour. How dare they come into my home and attempt to deceive me in front of my Masters? How dare they even attempt such? I, for the life of me, shall never understand such motivation for I understand the consequences of such actions. I remain outraged and insulted despite the fact that those who attempted such have been dealt with quite harshly. I shall explain.

As many may remember, Afton and I have…

A game of hide and seek....

Carlisle contacted us today and it  brought to mind a few old anecdotes. I figure I'll share one for the sake of entertainment.

There's a large tapestry that stretches for a good portion of the main hall between the Throne room and the main foyer.

The wall behind that tapestry is bare and made of stone/brick just as the rest of the castle is except for a few places within our chambers where we have fortified walls which are covered again with plaster and white…

Italy in February

It's unseasonably warm for February which has brought a significant increase of tourism to our small community of Volterra. Most are yearning for a break from their monotonous lives and a peek into an ancient culture with a vast, beautiful landscape, unlike their doldrum views from their kitchen sinks at home.

I take advantage of such breaks in the weather and have spent many a day out in the courtyard listening to Alec and Jane and Demetri and Corin as they chit-chat and laugh about…

Winter Days

Been here in La Push my whole life but seems as I get older, Im getting less and less tolerant of being cold. Used to be we went swimming in 30 degree temperatures. 80 degrees still isnt warm enough to get this old man into the drink. I was just out back grabbing some wood and heard a bunch of kids talking as they were walking by. They are heading to the cliffs to go diving.  It's cold, they aren't part of the pack either. They're just crazy!

It's a nice quiet day here, just me and…

Lego Batman Movie

Last night we went to the diner then to see Lego Batman. I thought it was so funny! My favorite character is Robin. He's just silly and a little bit awkward and that makes him funny! I love playing with Legos. Quit has this huge Star Wars thing he built and I remember once I touched it and it like exploded.  He got so mad I thought he was going to kill me but he didn't! Still now there are two pieces still missing. Tell me how the heck if you break something do the pieces go missing and you…

We're making slime!!

Ok guys, this is so fun and gross and cool!

We're making SLIME with glitter!

Here's what you need...

  • Clear Glitter glue
  • 1/2 cup of liquid starch (approximate)
  • Food coloring

Step 1

You can either use the pre-glittered glue , or you can use regular Elmer's school glue and add your own glitter. I've found that if you use the really fine grain glitter it's the best! I've also used chunky glitter and confetti shapes too.…

A few notes from today 2/24/17

A few flurries fly and the whole of Forks seems on edge.  There were seven accidents today which brought people into the ER. All of that from a few snow flurries. That's not even mentioning how many incidents there were that did not involve injury.

It snows, people panic. Why is that? I have never understood why and I suppose I just never will.

I treated a few bruises, scrapes and a concussion. Someone slid into a cyclist. Lucky for him, the automobile was not moving very fast…

The return of Hope

It had been a miserable day.   I simply wanted to get out of the rain at some point.    I don't know what made my choose that dinner that day.   Perhaps it was that I'd never been in that one.   Perhaps it was fate that pulled me there.  The events from the moment I walked through that door are something I will never forget. …

My Boys

Sitting and watching the boys play while Kim got breakfast ready.   It was so hard to believe they would be three this summer.   It was so hard in some respects to believe that.   When they were born they were so small.  Declan had arrived first.  19 Inches long, 5 Lbs 2 ounces.  Delsin arrived second. 5 lbs and 19.5 inches long.  Here now playing on the floor with cars and blocks, almost three there had grown so much and kept Kim and I so busy.  School was not so…
