Family

To many of us family means everything.   And my family is unlike any other.  I was an only child.  No siblings growing up but being on the Rez there were always other kids to hang with.   With the pack, it's like a big extended family.  I'm as close to my pack brothers as I would have been with blood siblings.  Emily and Rachel are the sisters I never had.  And Shay, Mak, and Sammy are the next generation of our family.  

Soon our family will grow again.  Its been a few generations since we've had twins born on either Kim or my side of the family tree.  I share my family tree with Jake.  So seeing twins on the family tree is no shocker.  Both our mom's have been rather over protective and worried about Kim.  I know she's in good hands with Carlisle.  He's given us no reason to worry, and only suggested Kim get more rest now that she's getting closer to the end of the pregnancy.  

I still don't know if I'm ready to be a father.   With having 2 nephews and a niece I've already learned all the basics.  Diapers, bottles.  I have no worries that our kids will be well loved, safe and more than overly protected.  Kim has been glowing, radiant even.  Getting married and having kids has made her even more happy.  I know she can't wait to hold our children in her arms.  And as the time get's closer, and after feeling them kicking I can say I'm getting eager to hold them as well.  

Family means everything.  And ours is about to grow by 2.
