Carlisle Cullen- This is to you.

Your love, wisdom, and compassion is something that I will always cherish. You lift my spirits when I am feeling hopeless, and you counsel me, teach me, and motivate me to be the best that I can be. You get me through the darkest hours, and put a smile on my face in the brightest.

Your "soul" and your heart inspire me everyday. When i'd receive a DM from you, I'd feel special and privileged. You've played a major role in my life, and I cannot express…

The City Of Love.

Whilst standing back from the crowd admiriing one beautiful painting in particular, I couldn't help but overhear snippets of conversations no matter how hard I tried not to.. of course how could I not.

"Ughh, what was the artist thinking?" The gentleman's wife shook her head and moved toward the next painting, followed closely behind by her husband still muttering under his breath. Over in the corner two women were admiring a rather striking painting of the Eiffel Tower and a lovely… Continue

Dearest Esme:

Two weeks have now passed so I am free to tell you of certain personal experiences and incidents that have happened on a recent combat mission.

There was tension in the air for days before. It was like a calm that precedes the storm.  I could feel that there was a big job coming and coming soon.  I wished it would come in a hurry, for the suspense of anticipation was…

My Drive to help Children's Cancer Research.

This Little girl... her name is Cassidy. She has Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Right after her mother died, her father found out she had A.L.L. She went into remission and it came back as A.M.L. She is only seven years old. Go back and think, what was I doing when I was seven years old? I know I was playing with friends, going to the lake, boating, going to the park, having fun. But back then I wasnt as persistant to help people. Now, I am trying to make a change. Children with a disease such as…

Be In It.....

Child of My Heart.... Author Unknown

Not flesh of my flesh

Not bone of my bone

Yet still very much my own

Never forget

for one single minute

that you grew not under my heart

but in it.

Be in it Carmy, be in it.. laughing I had replied, "Oh you mean...Be in, so I can chase you". Her sweet little voice comes back to me as though it was just yesterday & not months ago. Every curl that framed her angelic face, perfectly preserved… Continue

No One will Ever Know....

No one will ever know

the pain within my heart,

the tears that I still shed for you

since we were torn apart.

Your memory still lives on each day

in the many hearts of friends,

but three lost souls will miss you

until their journeys end.

This year will be our fifth one now

without you by our side,

the tears will fall and our hearts will break

as sure as the ever flowing tide.

Your fishing pole and tackle… Continue

Kebi’s Letter

I come back to the hotel to catch up on some work and take Tia & Kebi out for an evening of fun.  I notice that Tia is not in the hotel room.   She must be at the spa.  I walk over to the desk and notice a note on the laptop.

It is in Kebi’s handwriting.  I start to read. Kebi says she can no longer just sit idly by waiting for Amun to come home.  She has asked that we do not go and look for her and to take care of each other.

After reading the…

A part of Me

My name is Erika Medina but all my friends call me Kika and I like it better, well I was born July 14th  in TJ, Mexico but my heart is 50/50 in the US and Mexico since my ancestors on my paternal grandfathers side where real Red Skin Indians and besides I speak better English than Spanish *giggles* .

I´ve had a lot of ups and downs on my life, like most people of course mine involve family problems and the sad part is that most of it started when my grandfather died when I was a…

Lost In the Chaos!

No matter where you are and no matter what you are doing, the sound of a child crying will nearly every time turn every mothers head. And even if it is not your child crying you cannot help for that one small moment to look for your own.

The sound of this particular child crying caught my attention instantly, it wasn't Seth but he sounded just like him and at the exact same time Leah was tugging on my shirt, "Momma, I can't find Seth". The curtain fabric I'd been looking at… Continue

Should I have told?

When I think back on how my life changed since I’ve started shape-shifting, I can’t help but wonder a few things. Up until a year ago, everything was much harder than it is today. Mom didn’t know about me so I had to balance everything right on top of having to find ways and numerous excuses for me to randomly disappear or be out late. Needless to say she never liked that, especially while I was in school. It’s a wonder how I’ve been able to pull off graduating with success with all those… Continue

Sadness With no end

Third full day without my cat. My husband made me get rid of him, then just took off with him, to who knows where. He's not yet 2, and hasn't been outside since he was a kitten, too little to leave his mama when he appeared on our doorstep. The sweetest and baddest cat ever.. I saved his life, twice. We had a special bond, that my husband just didn't see. He didn't like the cat either. He would not let me take him to the vet, to get fixed or anything.. So to an extent his badness and…
