War or Peace?

We have a meeting today with the Romanians with the hopes to secure peace. Caius is adamant that a war is the only solution. I disagree as does Aro. We will attempt to talk things out. I cannot see how a war would do anything more than agitate others of our kind into having to choose a side. Choosing a side always equals an, "Us vs Them" mentality which always leads to violence. Why is it that we cannot all just exist in Peace. It's the same with humans. They prefer to choose violence as a way of settling disagreement when words, I feel, can be even more powerful.
I do not know what to expect. I am on edge, I fear that I will snap at Esme or one of my children out of frustration. That is the last thing I want to do. I don't know what the outcome of today's events will bring. I have faith that the Romanians will accept our request to settle things without violence. I cannot let Caius's way enter my head. No. I know we can settle this if everyone would just listen to reason...................
