Chapter TWO

Day two

Cullen’s house

Soon it was morning and it was getting bright outside it was another cloudy day however the Cullen’s did not sleep.  Carlisle and Esme was wondering when Dale was going to get up, so Esme went upstairs to the third floor and Carlisle followed and went as quietly as possible to dale's room and gently open the door to peak inside.  And they saw that the bed was empty and they could not figure out where he went and then they saw him, he had made a bed for himself on the floor and he was sound asleep, Carlisle quietly walked over to where Dale was and picked him up and placed him back on the bed very gently.  Then quietly left the room and Esme close the door, out in the hall Esme asked “How come he was not sleeping in the bed?” Carlisle did not have an answer so he replied “I don't know?” Then they both went back downstairs, a few hours go by and suddenly out of nowhere they hear a loud thump! Both Carlisle and Esme looked at each other and Carlisle asked Esme “What was that?” Then Carlisle and Esme ran up to the third floor see what that loud thump was, once they reached his door Carlisle open the door a little ways and peaked inside Once again, and again Dale had disappeared the room looked empty suddenly he sees two hands reached up from the other side of the bed pulling what ever was attached to them on to the bed and it was Dale apparently he had fallen off the bed onto the floor.  He looked kind of dazed and confused at how he got back on to the bed without knowing it, while he rubbed his head. Then Dale looked at his bed that he made on the floor point to it and thought about it for a few minutes and pointed to the bed he was sitting on, Carlisle asked “Are you ok?” At that time Dale look at Carlisle then looked back at his makeshift bed and then looked at the Bed he was on.  Trying to figure out how he got on the bed and then he looked at Carlisle and said “Yeah, I guess so?” Then Carlisle said “Well come on, Esme and i will fix you some breakfast.”  So Dale got off the bed and told Carlisle, “I'll be down in a few minutes I'm going to change my clothes.”  Carlisle replied “Ok see you downstairs.”

Then Carlisle closed the door, once he closed the door Carlisle started chuckling.  Esme was wondering what Carlisle was laughing about, and then he told her that the thump was actually Dale falling off the bed and on to the floor, then she started laughing after that they both went back downstairs.  Well Dale grabbed him a pair of blue jeans and a T-shirt from the dresser drawers and got changed, then went to the bathroom for a few minutes Then you hear a flush and he walked out of the bathroom and proceeded downstairs to the kitchen area, in the kitchen area everybody was awake Dale could see Carlisle and Esme were cooking Dale some breakfast, Alice and Jasper sitting together at the bar Emmett and Rosalie were just standing there talking. Dale walked over and sat next to Alice on the stool and he sort of looked at Alice and Jasper both their eyes were black as night, he got curious he sort of did a double take then asked Alice, “Weren’t your eyes a different color yesterday?” Alice replied “Yes, it's just the whether here later my eyes will be normal.”  Suddenly Carlisle placed a plate of food in front of Dale consisting of scramble eggs and sausage and then he placed a glass of milk next to the plate.  Carlisle looked at Alice and Jasper and said “You to better go hunting, Dale will be fine here.”  Alice replied “Yes Carlisle, also Carlisle what was that loud thump?” Dale look up to the ceiling thinking oh boy and Alice just smiled she knew what had happened then both her and Jasper left the house and went outside and disappeared. Then Emmett and Rosalie said “They were going in to town.” and they left, Suddenly Carlisle’s phone rang, Carlisle answered it and it was a hospital Carlisle answered saying “Hello, ok I'll be right there.” Then he hung up the phone then he told Esme that he had to leave.  He said “That was the hospital will you be all right here with him?” Esme looked at Dale and said “Sure, we have some work to do.”  With that Carlisle left the room and drove to the hospital, Dale finished up his breakfast and Esme pulled out the vacuum, and some cleaning things then walked back into the kitchen with the things then  said to Dale “This place needs cleaning, I know this is work but we can have fun too.”  With that she went and turned on the radio, it was playing '80s music. then Dale and Esme started cleaning the house, but it wasn't all bad they both started getting into the music, both singing the songs together As they worked suddenly Esme ran up to Dale and wanted to dance he replied “No, no ,no I can't dance, I don't know how.”  Esme replied “I will teach you.”  Then with the music she started to teach Dale how to dance, and they both were having a good time. 

While they were dancing Esme said “You mean your mother never taught you how to dance?” Dale replied “It never came up.”  They had such a good time that Esme totally forgot about lunch, by the time they had finished  it was almost dinnertime and it was getting dark again the  housecleaning was finished and soon Carlisle came home. He walked into the kitchen and saw that Dale and Esme were talking and laughing together, while she cooked dinner for Dale. Carlisle said as he came in “Boy, it looks like you guys had a good time.”  Esme replied “We sure did and we got our house cleaning done.”  Esme cooked another Italian dish for dinner for Dale, and as he started the eat Alice and Jasper walk through the backdoor Alice sat down next to Dale and Jasper sat down next Alice.  Dale look at Alice and then at Jasper and noticed that their eyes were golden again, he tasted his food and it was kind of bland and is about to reach for the Salt when Alice beat him to it and then handed it to him and when Dale reach for the Salt his hands sort of touched Alice’s and Dale shivered because her hands were very cold, he said to her “Boy you better go take a hot shower you're freezing.”  She sort of laughed at what he had said, he started to Salt his food and then began to eat it.  While Dale ate his dinner, he asked “Where's Bella and Edward at?” Esme replied “Oh, they are probably at their cottage with their daughter.”  Dale said “Bella has a daughter? Boy I really have been out of the loop.”  Alice said “That's right; you have not met nessie have you?” Dale replied “No, I have not.”  Esme interrupted them and said “I don’t think that’s really a good idea, Alice, at least not for a little while.”  Just then Rosalie and Emmett walked through the front door and as Rosalie got to the kitchen she saw that Dale was still here, which made her rather angry she said “What is he still doing here?” Dale replied “I'm not here.”  Rosalie said “What do you mean you're not here?” Dale being in a good mood replied “I can bet you that I'm not here.”  Rosalie said “Are you crazy or something?” Dale replied “I can bet you that I'm not here.”  Rosalie couldn't believe what she was hearing, she said “Ok, fine prove to me you're not here?” Just then Emmett walked up behind her; she looked at him and said “This human is going to prove to me that he's not here.” Emmett sort of chuckled at the idea, and Dale continued he said “I'm not at Charlie's house am I?” Rosalie had to admit he wasn’t there she replied “No.”  Dale asked “I'm not at the school am I?” Rosalie thought about it and replied “No.”  Dale asked “I am not at the library am I?” Rosalie said “No.”  Then Dale said “Now wait a minute if I am not at Charlie's house, or the library or the school, I must be someplace else, right?” Rosalie said “Right.”  Dale replied “But if I am some place else, I can't be here, right, that's all.”  Rosalie thought about it and started to say “Well if he's someplace else but he can't be here but he is here but he's someplace else.”  After that she kept trying to figure out and finally she got so frustrated she stomped upstairs and left the kitchen. Emmett, Jasper, Alice and Carlisle and Esme all were laughing at what Dale had said to Rosalie. later that evening as Emmett and Dale sat in the living room watching television, Esme came into the living room with a package she said Dale “This package is been delivered to you it has your name on it.”  He took the package from Esme and it felt kind heavy so Dale told Emmett that he would see him later.  Then upstairs to the third floor carrying his package with him and went to his room and open the package as he opened it there was a letter on top of the possessions, he opened the letter and read it, it said

Dear Dale,

These things belong to you except an item that would fit you better than in the one you once had. I figured that you might want it now, since these are the last of your possessions that you had since your parents' death

Dale dumped his possessions onto his bed inside the box was the first place mini tournament trophy, his old uniform when he was 10 years old,  two pairs of nunchaku's, and a pair of escrima sticks, along with a brand new Dobock uniform in his size with his same rank blue belt decided.  Also in the box was sparing pads, two for the feet and two hands, and one helmet for his head?  And a Ninja costume he picked up his uniform that he wore when he was 10 years old and He still could smell the sweat off of it, when the time he was sparring during the mini tournament it had not been washed.  Which brought back painful memories of the time right before the mini tournament when his mother had washed his uniform and handed it to him then she told him, how proud she was of him and then she kissed him on the cheek?  Dale started tearing up missing his mother and father so badly, he picked up all his things and put them away.  He hung his new uniform in the closet and put his pads in the floor of the closet along with the nunchakus and the sticks, the place is trophy on the dresser and sat on his bed thinking until he went to sleep, Dale Once again made a bed for himself on the floor.
