Family

Around the world many families have just celebrated Easter and like so many other special occasions, families reunite and spend much needed time together. At least that is what we aim to do, but as hard as we try... Sometimes things do not always work out.

We are an example of one such family this year... After decades of celebrating holidays, birthdays, anniversaries and the like, this year we couldn't have been further apart. Well physically speaking that is... With Tanya away holidaying in Scotland, Garrett and Kate in South America, that left Eleazar and I home alone.

Do not misunderstand, we have celebrated holidays alone before and it is nice to have time to ourselves but we are not a family related by blood. We chose to be a family and as such, we have forged unbreakable bonds. So whilst cozying up to watch a movie on Easter Sunday, we were treated to the most unexpected gift. Kate, Garrett and Tanya surprised us with a Skype reunion on both mine and Eleazar's laptops. It truly was lovely and my wonderful siblings will never know how much it meant to us.
