I am often asked how an Egyptian vampire survives without a trace in the Egyptian sun.

There are many ways to do this in Egypt.

One of the oldest ways would be to dress as a Bedouin would. The term 'Bedu'in' in Arabic refers to one who lives out in the open in the desert. The Arabic word 'Badawiyin' is a generic name for a desert dweller and the English word 'Bedouin' is derived from this.

The most recognized person would be Peter O'Toole dressed as a Bedouin in the film Lawrence of Arabia (1962).

Since most Bedouins are now relocating to the cities and they are wearing more modern clothing. The ones that remain in the desert are still wearing more traditional clothing.

However, as the cities grow it is harder and harder for the Bedouin to remain in their preferred environment and provide for themselves and their families.

For those that would choose modern clothing... umbrellas, hats, long sleeve shirts and pants are very practical.

In the cities there are many things to do at night for those that are not willing to travel in the daylight. We have some very popular night clubs, restaurants which all have a bountiful choice of food and lively music to listen to.

Please come visit and enjoy your time in Egypt.
