The beginning.

I remember the day the Volturi descended on Hilda's coven very clearly. I remember Master Aro moving amongst group of us that were gathered with the guard around us, making sure none of us run. Hilda had already been destroyed and I knew that same fated awaited nearly all of us. 

I stood at the edge of the group and watched as Aro made his way towards me, his hand flashed out and grabbed hold of mine, all my thoughts were now being read. After what seemed a few minutes Aro let go of my hand and looked at me with curious eyes.  "Tell me your name child?" he asked of me.  I looked at him as I spoke. "I am Heidi".

Aro then asked me if I could demostrate how I used my abilities to draw in people. I hoped that this would possibly save me from being destroyed so I was quick to comply. I fixed my sights on one of the guard members that had his eyes on me. I looked up into the guard's face and my smile was seductive and I motioned him over with my finger. I could see that he was trying not to comply, I smirked as my spell won and he walked over to Aro and myself in a slight daze.

I turned my head to glance at Aro and he had a smirk on his face. "Well done child. You will be very useful within my coven" I was quick to accept his offer. I was more than grateful to be accepted into another coven and also being able to continue doing the 'job' that I was good at. This was the beginning of my life with the Volturi and here I am hundreds of years later still a part of the Volturi. There is no where else I would rather be.
