The return of Hope

It had been a miserable day.   I simply wanted to get out of the rain at some point.    I don't know what made my choose that dinner that day.   Perhaps it was that I'd never been in that one.   Perhaps it was fate that pulled me there.  The events from the moment I walked through that door are something I will never forget. 

Alice stood out in that dinner, and the joy on her face when I came through that door was unexplainable.  I could feel her excitement, her joy, and relief.  After fighting in so many battles, and running from Maria these were all feelings I had not experienced in a very long time. 

I was unexplainably drawn to her.  I think I may have smiled at that point.   I'm sure that's a detail Alice could confirm for you.  

The detail that stood out from that entire day was the moment I took her hand.   That feeling of hope that washed over me.  To feel that again after so long, its hard to explain exactly how that made me feel.   I think everyone who was in that dinner that day felt it to. 

Alice's story about the Cullen's and this new way to live were hard to believe, but you could feel her commitment to them, the absolute faith she had in what she was telling me.    I quickly learned to trust her gift.

Of all the events that brought us to today, that feeling of hope Alice gave me is the one thing that stands out the most.
