An Interactive Twilight Experience.
On a high
Well i think i am finally coming down of a high i have been on since beginning of march!
It all goes back to last November when i applied to attend the World Scout Jamboree 2011 in Sweden as and IST member. That was nerve racking enough as i had to be online at a certain time and fill the application in there and then and send it straight away to be with in a chance of even being picked to go selection and to think all the other girl guides (girl scouts) and boy scouts who wanted to go around the uk were doing exactly the same thing!
Well i got picked to attend the selection which was great, only draw back was this took place outside, in January just after all the snow, so it was very cold, and I ended up getting very wet, cold and muddy, along with 300 other people. This day was used as an interview process where we were split in to groups and we did lots of team building and practical activities so the organisers could see how we work together and whether we think we would be suitable to attend WSJ 2011 as an IST. At the end of the day we were told we would find out in the first week of march if we got a space or not.
Well the first week in March came around and dropped in to my email box was an email saying i had a place on the IST. I was so excited i was jumping around the room for like 15 mins i couldn't hold it in! Any way a month and a bit has finally gone by and i am now slowly coming down of this high of excitment, i can't wait for next year! The only thing thats hitting me now it that i have to fundraise quite alot of money to go on the trip but there are lots grants out there that i can get to assist me and saving my arse of alot!
I am so excited and i can't wait to meet lots of new people and make new friends at this event, its the first world scout jamboree i have been to and i can't wait!
