Day of Silence

My friend wrote this poem about the Day of Silence. Which was on 4.15.11. This really shows how I feel about the subject. The Day of Silence is one day where LGBT or LGBT Allys are silent. For one whole day you don't speak, for all the people who can't say who they really are or how they really feel because of bullying or discrimination.

Day of Silence

 

For a day

I am silent 

No words escape my mouth

I am silent

Because there are people who can't speak

I am silent

With them, I stand proud

I am silent

With them we can be free

I am silent

From discrimination and hate

I am silent

From mistrust and fear

I am silent

For a day

I am sident

For a day

I am heard
