I went to Albuquerque Comic Con today. It wasn't what I expected. First of all, I was excited because of the guest list. Attending the con were Kristen Bauer (Pam in True Blood) , Gil Birmingham and Sam Trammell among other guests but they were the ones I was most excited for. I live in one of the oldest cities in the country, founded in 1706 by Spanish colonists, however it had long been home to the ancient Anasazi and Tiwa Native American tribes. Old town still exists and is rich with history and legends ranging from Native American legends to Spanish and Old West legends. It is a great place for history buffs...and paranormal gurus.

It is finally starting to warm up a bit, which is nice. Glad that spring is on its way.

Anyways...I am looking for a new job. I can't take the stress at my current job. I have applied at a few places, here's hoping I get one of them. At this time, I will gladly take a job with lower pay if its a happier job. If I stay at this one, my health will go downhill.

On a better note, I get a bonus in two weeks.

It's still freezing here. New Mexico is in a state of emergency. The pipes have busted at a lot of places and they are thinking about cutting the gas. Apparently the gas lines coming into Albuquerque are frozen. I have heat for now, but I don't know how much longer it will last. This sucks. Come on spring! Get here already! I'm worried..

It has been SO cold here in Albuquerque, NM. The desert can get extremely hot and extremely cold..by extreme..I mean that it was actually slightly warmer in Alaska today, in the city closest to the North Pole, than it was here in Albuquerque. It was below zero this morning. I think the warmest it got today was 3 degrees. Now it is - 2 degrees, with a killer wind chill. I wore jeans today and I swear, I felt like my legs were getting frostbite as I waited for the city bus this morning. Come…

This is the most random blog ever...why did it take me 30 minutes to make a smoothie? Because I always end up getting in fights with the blender...everytime..no matter what blender! I give up. I am swearing off blenders for the rest of my life!!!

After the show last night, we went to ihop. As a result, I was up sick at 3:30 AM. My grandma came over at 8:30 AM and I soooo wanted to sleep in but she and my aunts wanted to take me out. We went to lunch at the Elephant Bar at 1:00 and then I went to some antique shops with them, which I normally hate, but these shops were pretty cool. Just got back from the theatre! Wicked was awesome! It has always been awesome! There is nothing like seeing it live though. Videos are cool and the soundtrack is awesome..but oh man....it is well worth the money if any of you can go see it!

My grandfather passed away 12/12/10. I still remember getting that call at 1 o'clock in the morning saying he had a stroke and had passed away. I am still in disbelief. I was very close to him. As I look though my pictures on my phone, I see the last ones taken of him. I had taken pictures of him with my little nephew when my brother, sister in law and nephew came to visit in September. Just got home from a tiring day at work. Who knew that sitting on your butt at a desk for 8 hours a day could be so tiring?  It takes a lot out of you to talk on the phone all day. I actually felt that food service was less tiring than han the desk job I have now.

Sunday is my Friday, which means tomorrow is my Thursday. No wonder why it feels like it is the middle of the week.

Yaaay! I am seeing Wicked for the 2nd time on Sunday! I'm so excited. When I found out the tour was coming here, I had to get tickets. They are sucky seats, but still. YAY!

I've loved this show since its birth in 2003 and I was captivated when I saw it in 2008.
