My poem is inspired by the last line in Lewis Carroll's
"A Boat Beneath the Sky"
Nothing more can make me sigh
than a boat beneath the summer sky
the water clear and up waist high
I watch reflective clouds float by
The fish may bite or stay away
It doesn't matter anyway
I've got a pole and time to play
I'll sit right here come what may
There's time to think and contemplate
There's time to simply sit and wait
There's lots of time to hesitate
And talk about the hands of fate
Nothing more can make me sigh
Than a boat beneath the summer sky
The water clear and up waist high
I let my life roll slowly by
