Inspired by the last line of "The Yellow Violet"
by William Cullen Bryant
"That made the woods of April bright"
The winter is endless
the forest blanked in blinding white snow
It begs for the green of springtime
Begs for a kiss of sun
Seedlings lay dormant
beneath an ocean of white
pleading for a touch of warmth,
to bless them with life.
She walks through the forest
Her feet bless the fallen snow
Warming the earth with a wave of her hand
dismissing winter with each step
Green and gold obey her commands
The winter takes it's leave
Her smile brings the sun
That made the woods of April bright
