Welcome to the wonderful world of things fashionable *smiles*
The walk to Cullens seemed to pass by so easily, as the gravel crunched beneath my feet. Off in the distance I heard the distinct purr of a roaring engine, that I knew could only belong to one car ... one person.
The walk to Cullens seemed to pass by so easily, as the gravel crunched beneath my feet. Off in the distance I heard the distinct purr of a roaring engine, that I knew could only belong to one car ... one person.

I smiled as I hopped onto the front porch - awaiting my accompliss - and waved hello to all in the room. Before I could even take another step, she was beside me, grinning wide. I was in Charlotte's car within seconds - racing off in the Lotus towards Seattle.

I had no idea what we were searching for, only that the prom was first in my mind. For how can one go to prom without the perfect shoes, and accsessories? Not that it really mattered as soon as we stepped into the store. I was overcome with too many shiny objects to keep my focus.

I made a bee line for the shoes, picking through the stacks of boots; Charlotte already well at home in the glorious corner of footwear. It didn't take long for me to find the perfect boots for the occasion. It occured to me - as I twirled the knee high boots in my hands - that perhaps I should go with my instincts. After all, I am a fashion rebel. And it is an 80's prom - even though I wasn't sure exactly that this style would flow well with that theme (but I still like it).

As I watched Charlotte smiling over her new found shoe discovery, I darted into the racks of jackets. At first, I wasn't entirely sure what would compliment the new boots, but I knew that it had to be something I would have worn when I was younger.

Something black. Something leather. And Charlotte found it.

It was perfect; fitting snugly against my sides. I was instantly in love with it, and had to have it. Next it was time for Charlotte to succomb to the need for a new jacket, and she really found the perfect one. A nice, black blazer that really made her eyes shine.

Of course, no shopping trip is complete without jewlery.

My will crumbled into dust, as we set our eyes on all the sparkly objects before us. I came away with a silver necklace, matching bracelet, and a new ring. Charlotte picked out the most beautiful necklace as well.

At the end of the morning - as we paid for our items - I realized that I might just have a little addiction to shopping. More so, when I threw the reciept into the trash - not even glancing down at the total - and hoisting the heavy purchases into the Lotus. My overwhelming compulsion had nailed me to the wall again.

I could still hear Charlotte chuckling as she drove away from my house.

I had an absolutley fantastic time in Seattle today with Charlotte. She loves shopping just as much as I do, and I can't wait to go again. Thanks Char! You're the best!

Here's a look at my prom outfit - sans jewlery. I haven't decided on that yet.

Jessica helped me pick out the dress ... thanks Jess!
It's harder than I thought it would be. Well, I guess I truly didn't think about it all - before I opened my mouth and said the one word I knew would make her scream in delight. Yes. Who am I to deny her a good story? Who am I to say no? It's not in my nature to upset her - although at times I grit my teeth, and smile politley - while answering her constant requests.

It's been almost two weeks now, and I still find my mind cluttered with the complex features of my fabricated tale. Am I doing the characters justice? Or am I indeed faltering in my efforts? I never thought that I would be the one she would come running to; open arms, big grin, and a request that even I had trouble comprehending. Yet here I sit, sifting through the world that has brought so much happiness to those around me.

Each day I turn on the power to my trusty lap top. Each day I type till my fingers are stiff; sending aching spasms through my feeble muscles. And every day I wait for an ending I can live through. An ending so dramatic, that it would put my eariler works to shame. I am still waiting. I know it is out there, stalking me like a stealthy predator; cunning, and wise. It's only a matter of time before the predator reaches my mind, and invades it once more. It's always the same repetative circle, only now that she knows I'm almost done, her anticipation overwhelms me.

Perhaps I should leave the story as it rests. Perhaps I should ease her pain, and let her read my attempts of capturing the world's most beloved family. But what kind of writer would I be, if I didn't strive to finish the adventure that I never intended to create in the first place?

In some ways, I find it satisfyingly enjoyable; the action, suspense, and unconditional love. My mind drifts so easily into this world - sometimes doing so unintentionally. I can see why my friend chose me now. I just don't understand her confidence, her admiration. Only time will tell if I can truly step up to the task she appointed me with. Only time will tell if the rest of the world enjoys my creation, as the deadline approaches swiftly.

The predator will find me soon - driving my mind to places I never dreamed of going - finally unraveling a fascinating tale of choice. For what would any of us do without a choice? What would any of us do to have that choice? Would you take it?

I find myself wearing an unfamiliar pair of shoes, as I step into the world of Stephanie Meyer.
