Castello di Volterra

The Castello di Volterra or, Castle of Volterra, has stood tall amongst Volterra's landscape for as long as I can remember. It was not until 300 BC that our Masters, along with what few Guards held their company, came to Italy in search of a proper home.
When we first stumbled upon Volterra, it was no more than a small village build on dirt pathways and whatever materials the surrounding forest offered. Master Aro, along with Master Caius, Master Marcus, and their wives, saw potential for this once empty land; and so the process of building our home began.

It is now - centuries and countless renovations and additions later - that we choose to share our beautiful Castello di Volterra with you. A once private place, where those who visit rarely have the pleasure of leaving.
