A conversation between Caius and myself....

 

 

Caius: *walks through the corridors humming to myself*

 

Edward: *Leaves Renesmee's room, heading through the hallways of the castle*

 

Caius: *turns a corner and almost runs into Edward, sneers as I see him*

 

Edward: *Smirks, and stands firm in the hallway looking to Caius* Well, well.

 

Caius: Edward, I thought I smelled a traitor

 

Edward: *Grins* Such kind words on your homecoming. I was wondering when we'd run into one another.

 

Caius: Strange, I was hoping I would not have to see you...*sneers* Shall we expect your daughter to join us with our dinner? I should think she should try the food we eat, not just your food.

 

Edward: *Growls slightly* I would prefer you kept your ... diet.. to yourselves. Renesmee has no interest in you prefered choice of meal.

 

Caius: *grins* Aww what a pity...I have heard about your child...what a brat I have heard she is, ruining rooms, throwing tantrums...I assume she gets it from you.

 

Edward: *Grinning as your thoughts flutter through my mind* She is every bit my daughter, and I wouldn't have it any other way. But as for her being a brat.. Perhaps it is that fact she was forced here against her will.

 

Caius: *waves my hand* Even so, she is a guest here and should act as such....unless you want something bad to happen I would think you would tell her to...how do you wanna be humans say...grow up.

 

Edward: Why don't you let me decide what is best for my daughter. *Leans against the wall, looking through narrowed eyes* She is but a child, guest or not, and despite what you may think, she is very capable of controlling herself.

 

Caius: *cocks my head to the side and grins evilly* Child or not she has shown little control from what has been told to me. She has been given anything she wants yet she acts like a spoiled brat, is that how you parent her, By spoiling her?

 

Edward: *Chuckles* It is my job to spoil her, but being here in Volterra against her own will... *Shakes my head with a grin* You Volturi should have known better. What did you think was going to happen? That she would come willingly into your fold?

 

Caius: It is your job to teach her to respect her elders though you do not do that so why would she.

 

Edward: *Pushes off from the wall* I teach her the laws of our kind. Respect is something you earn... it is not given through fear.

 

Caius: *scoffs* Oh please...it is also something we have earned, just because you are too busy trying to fit in with the pathetic humans, you seem to have forgotten what we truely are. We deserve to be feared.

 

Sulpicia: *walking in from the gardens with Athena*

 

Edward: Deserve to be feared? *Smirks* Is that what you want? For the entire world to fear the ever great Volturi family? I thought you patrons of the arts.. a family that reveres the law, not fear.

 

Sulpicia: *hears the voices of Caius and Edward* Athena?

 

Athena: *walks along the corridor beside Sulpicia* Sister, I detect the slight hint of some trouble *smirks*

 

Sulpicia: *slight smile* As do I Sister.

 

Caius: We deserve to be feared by those that break the laws, as far as I am concerned your family are law breakers, consorting with mutts...tell me does it make you feel good inside to know they kill our kind?

 

Edward: They are protectors, and have helped my family. If you weren't so callous towards them, perhaps you would see that. Although.. *Leans forward as your thoughts drift to the wolves* Perhaps there IS something you fear after all.

 

Athena: *continues walking down the corridor, Sulpicia at my side, turning a corner to see Edward in conversation with Caius*

 

Caius: *anger takes over my face* How DARE you enter my head...how I wish my dear sister Jane was here to give you one little smile you good for nothing fool! Your wife is not here to protect you now is she?

 

Sulpicia: *looks at Athena* Well, well, well. What have we got here, Sister?

 

Demetri: *Exits my chambers, walking down the corridor until I reach Caius and Edward, frowning, looking from one to the other*

 

Edward: I do not need my wife to know every move you would make.. *Takes a step back, not wishing for harm to come to my family* I can't help what I hear, now can I? As for Jane... I do not believe Aro wishes harm to family.

 

Athena: *smirks* it looks most interesting sister *nods at Demetri as he comes up the corridor*

 

Caius: *grins* Well, my brother is not here now is he. In fact I have not seen him at all yet since my return and I can not believe what you tell me after all you are a traitor. So If I feel like you are a threat...well..lets just say accidents happen

 

Demetri: *Notices Sulpicia and Athena nearby, bowing my head to them both*

 

Edward: *raises an eyebrow, your thoughts mixed with your anger* Well as you said..we are guests in your house. Perhaps a heated conversation is best for another time. And there will be another time.

 

Athena: *listens intently to the conversation between Edward and Caius*

 

Sulpicia: *nods at Demetri* Edward speaks the truth, Caius

 

Edward: *Hears Sulpicia, Athena, and Demetri aproach, keepig my focus on Caius* You should listen

 

Sulpicia: Master Aro has no wish to harm the Cullen family, Brother.

 

Caius: *narrows my eyes as I raise my hand towards Sulp* Yes there will be another time Edward, but know this, at that time...should you decide to disrespect my family an accident may well happen.

 

Demetri: *Nods in agreement with Master Caius, locking my gaze on Edward*

 

Corin: -Hearing the collection of voices in the corridor, seeing Master Caius and the others gathered, approaching silently-

 

Edward: *Walks forward, listening to your thoughts of what may come, speaking just above a whisper as I pass* The feeling is mutual, Caius. I'll be seeing you.

 

Caius: *nods and begins to turn away then turning back adds with a chuckle* Oh and Edward, I do plan on dining with your daughter at some point, she needs to know the true feeling you get when you kill as we are made to do.

 

Edward: *Keeps my back to Caius, a slight grin forming as a growl of warning escapes me* Not in this lifetime... *Nods at Demetri, and disapears down the hallway*

Well done for walking away Edward! Renesmee needs her family safe and I'm sure the Volturi would love a chance to show their full power of fear if given a reason x
