July 12th: The Cullens Reach Volterra

We arrived in Volterra today. We must do all we can to protect Renesmee now that we have been separated by force.....

 

 

Marcus: *glances at the clock on the wall of my study and sighs, gliding down the hallway to slump into my seat in the throne room*

 

Athena: *exits my chambers and heads to the throne room, taking a seat, nodding at Marcus as I enter*

 

Aro: -enters the throne room with Jane at my side-

 

Felix: *Stepping from the car with a nod of the head towards the castle doors* This way people

 

Edward: *Tucks Nessie beside me as we follow Felix, sighing at our surroundings*

 

Bella: *staying close to Edward and nessie.Prepared to shield them at the drop of a hat*

 

Renesmee: *following close to dad - looking around at everything*

 

Corin: -Keeping to the back of the group with Demetri, glad to have returned to the castle-

 

Aro: -sits down on my throne as I await for the cullens to arrive-

 

Edward: *Glances back at Bella* Just stay close.

 

Athena: *smiles and nods at Aro as he enters*

 

Felix: *leading the group towards the throne room , with a push of the big doors* No need for such dramatics dear cullens.

 

Jane: -stands at Aro's side with an watchful eye-

 

Aro: -looks briefly to Athena-

 

Bella: *glaring at Felix before grasping Nessie's hand*

 

Edward: *Growling under my breath, Felix's thoughts of amusement expending my energy* Just walk.

 

Renesmee: *walking in between mom and dad - squeezes mom's hand lightly*

 

Carlisle: *walks close, memories of my past here ringing in my head*

 

Felix: *pushing the gold doors open into the throne room with a grin* Master our visitors are here.

 

Corin: -Looking to Demetri with a smirk as we wait to enter the throne room-

 

Edward: *Glances over my shoulder at Carlisle before entering the throne room with Bella and Nessie close to my side*

 

Bella: *A painful memory coming to mind of my last time in this room.Reaching to take Edward's hand with my free one*

 

Marcus: *looks up, once again surprised by the intensity of Edward and Isabella's relationship, and their additional tie with their daughter*

 

Carlisle: *nods at Edward thinking "Be alert"*

 

Aro: -looks to the Cullen's as I stand up to greet them properly- Hello...I trust your trip was pleasurable

 

Felix: *glaring at each cullen before taking my spot beside Corin and Demetri.*

 

Jane: -stands slightly smiling as the Cullens enter-

 

Edward: *Squeezes bella's hand, and nods my head slightly at Carlisle, acknowledging his silent remark*

 

Athena: *watches over the the Cullens and Aro as they enter the throne room*

 

Renesmee: *keeps quiet -looking down*

 

Edward: Pleasurable? *Smirks* I suppose it was entertaining, Aro.

 

Aro: -notices Renesmee growth spurt- Well it appears time has changed you dear -moving slowly towards her-

 

Aro: -looks to Edward briefly-

 

Bella: *concentrating as I strecth my shield out, wanting to protect my family*

 

Renesmee: *moving closer to dad as Aro moves closers*

 

Edward: *Interceeds between Aro and Nessie, not wanting him so close*

 

Aro: -looks to Renesmee..watching her worry as i approach- I will not harm you

 

Edward: *listens intently to Aro's mind, hearing the truth to hiswords..for now* It's ok Nessie.

 

Carlisle: *nods respectfully at Aro* Thank you for your hospitality

 

Renesmee: *looking up to dad before stepping out from behind him, sheepishly*

 

Edward: *Places my hand on Nessie's shoulder, locking eyes with Aro*

 

Aro: -Looks to Carlisle- It has been long since we last met my old friend.

 

Aro: -looks back to Renesmee- How was your trip dear?

 

Carlisle: Yes *stands, hands behind my back looking around the throne room* Time stands still here

 

Renesmee: *shrugs and speaks softly* Long

 

Jane: -stands at Aro's side, studying Renesmee carefully-

 

Aro: -looks to Carlisle briefly and back to Renesmee- Apparently it only stands still here.

 

Edward: *Stands protectively beside Nessie, hearing her troubled thoughts, noticing how Aro's mind has become infatuated with her growth*

 

Carlisle: *Smiles slightly* Indeed, some of us have entered the 21st Century

 

Aro: -smirks at your comment- Is that what you will call it old friend..-ignoring you and looking to Renesmee-

 

Bella: *glancing at Edward before back to Ness, keeping my shield branched out in worry*

 

Edward: *Watches Aro intently, trying to discover the basis for this visit, his motives behind it* You've made us travel all this way. You've seen her, isn't that enough?

 

Aro: -looks briefly to Bella- Isabella Cullen...You look lovely as always-smirks-

 

Aro: -looks to edward- It is never enough-smirks at my words- You have traveled far edward...

 

Renesmee: *stands nervously, listening to everyone talk - my mind swirling with thoughts of fear and fustration*

 

Edward: *nods* And as you can see Renesmee is quite tired. *Moves closer to Nessie*

 

Jane: -smirks noting their agitation-

 

Aro: -turns with my back towards you- Tired? That is very interesting to hear..

 

Edward: *Narrows my eyes at Jane, turning my gaze to Aro* You know as well as I she is part human. Sleep is something you should have anticipated.

 

Aro: -looks towards you now- That is something I was prepared for Edward-noticing your tone as I briefly look to jane to not make any actions towards you-

 

Bella: *glaring towards Aro* I wouldn't try it.

 

Aro: -looks to Bella- The thought never occured to me dear

 

Edward: *Hears a trace of hesitation in your thoughts, but knowing what you are capable of as you look to Jane, backing down for the moment* Bella, it's alright.

 

Jane: -shoots a warning glance at Edward-

 

Felix: *stepping closer with a silent warning to Edward*

 

Marcus: *sighs and repositions myself boredly in my throne*

 

Bella: *backing down slightly, my shield still intact as I stay close to Ness*

 

Edward: *Smirks towards Jane, pulling Bella gently towards Nessie, Carlisle and I* Oh Felix.. *Turns to you* We will have our moment.

 

Corin: -Resisting the urge to use my power on Edward, maintaining my silence-

 

Aro: -Looks to edward briefly and and then to Felix- It appears your trip was an interesting event.

 

Athena: *smirks as Corin and Felix resist to make use of there gifts*

 

Edward: Interesting enough.

 

Edward: Why don't you just ask what it is you want to know, Aro?

 

Aro: -looks to Renesmee as I hold out my hand for her- Renesmee..dear..may I -looks to Edward and Bella for an approval-

 

Renesmee: *looks to dad confused thinks "what does he mean?"*

 

Edward: *Grins, knowing this was coming, searching Bella's eyes* He won't hurt her. *Turns back to

Nessie* It's alright, hold out your hand, I will explain later.

 

Jane: -Looks at Aro then to Edward to see his reaction-

 

Bella: *sighing as I look at Aro then to Ness* Go ahead and give him your hand Ness*glaring as I turn back to Aro*

 

Carlisle: It's alright, Ness *smiles and encourages you*

 

Aro: -briefly look to Bella and Edward as I turn my attention to Renesmee-

 

Renesmee: *looking at mom and dad still confused - slowly holds my hand up, my hand shaking slightly from nerves*

 

Edward: *Cringing as I hear your fear, placing one hand near your back as you reach out to Aro, ready to pull you back at any moment*

 

Aro: -grabs your hand slowly as to relieve your worry-

 

Aro: -visions and sounds of every thought you had coming to mind-

 

Renesmee: *flinches slightly as you grab my hand - not sure what's going on*

 

Edward: *Growls softly through clenched teeth as Nessie flinches*

 

Aro: -stares deep in thought as your thoughts are revealed to me-

 

Carlisle: *watches, waiting to intervene at any time*

 

Bella: *frowning as I see you flinch, keepign myself from instinctivly placing the shield up*

 

Aro: -comes back as I release your hand slowly- Interesting

 

Edward: *Hearing every one of Nessie's thoughts flutter through Aro's mind, holding back the urge to intervene again*

 

Renesmee: *pulls my hand back quickly - moving back to dad's side*

 

Jane: -Stands silently eager to know what Master Aro has seen-

 

Corin: -Watching Master Aro's reaction with interest, seeing the same curiosity peek from Demetri-

 

Edward: *Pulls Nessie to my side* Have you seen enough?

 

Bella: *moving closer to Ness and Edward, placing the shield back over*

 

Aro: -looks to Renesmee- It appears child your existence is truely rare. -looks to Edward- I have seen enough Edward...for now

 

Edward: *Hears a trace of what Aro wishes to speak wth Nessie about, glancing over at Carlisle with troubled eyes*

 

Aro: -looks to the guards- Please escort them to their rooms-looks to Renesmee- I have prepared a room for you dear-looks to felix and corin- That i am sure will fit your likings

 

Renesmee: *grabbing Dad's hand squeezing it lightly, my nerves getting worse*

 

Carlisle: *speaks silently to Edward "It will be alright"*

 

Edward: *leans forward* Aro. *Hears instantly you wish to separate us, taking Nessie's hand and pulling her closer yet* OUT of the question. *looks to Carlisle, shaking my head*

 

Felix: *grinning smugly in the back of the room*

 

Marcus: *harrumphs under my breath and mutters about so much ruckus for nothing, slumping out of my chair and gliding back to my chambers*

 

Renesmee: *looking at Dad confused and alarmed* What?

 

Bella: No, No! Ness will stay with us.

 

Aro: -looks to felix- Please escort Bella, Carlisle and Edward to their rooms on the west wing and -looks to Renesmee- Take her to her room on the east wing, Corin

 

Jane: -sees the unrest, a smile curling the ends of my lips-

 

Edward: She stays with US! *Moving closer to Carlisle, protecting Nessie and bella*

 

Renesmee: *looking to mom and dad my eyes wide with fear* Wait! No. I wanna stay with mom and dad

 

Carlisle: Aro, why the separation? I do not think it's wise to separate the child from her parents

 

Aro: -looks to bella and edward- That wasnt a question for her to be seperated it was an order

 

Edward: An order?*growls* She is our DAUGHTER.

 

Aro: -looks to Renesmee- It is alright dear-looks to edward- You can use your gifts to know that I will not harm her

 

Felix: *smirks in ammusment at the argument taking place before me*

 

Bella: *A snarl rising from my chest* This is not needed Aro.

 

Jane: -looks to Master Aro- Just say the word, Master and I shall teach them a little respect

 

Renesmee: *shakes my head - turning to Aro* No. I stay with mom and dad. You can't do that!

 

Aro: -looks to jane, felix, and corin for them to see out my bidding-

 

Edward: *Understanding you will not harm her, but not liking the separation* She is just a child.

 

Felix: *stepping closer* Edward listen to master Aro and come along

 

Corin: -Watching Edward with a smirk, before stepping foward towards Renesmee- Come along

Child.

 

Aro: -looks to edward- She is more than just a child Edward

 

Carlisle: She has never been away from her parents

 

Aro: -looks to Renesmee- She is quite the special one

 

Renesmee: *cringing away from Corin toward mom and dad* No

 

Aro: -looks to carlisle- There is a first for everything old friend

 

Edward: *Growling still, noticing the guard ready to strike at any moment, not willing to risk my

family in a physical fight* Nessie..go with them. *turns to you, ignoring aro* We will not be far.

 

Renesmee: *shaking my head* No dad. Please I wanna stay with you!

 

Bella: *Glancing at Edward then ness with a silent plea* please Ness listen to them.*glaring at Aro* this was uncalled fr

 

Aro: -knowing this was a wise decision for you to make-

 

Felix: *grinning in satisfaction* Edward and Bella I will be taking you to your room

 

Edward: *Sighs* Can I please have a moment with Renesmee?

 

Aro: -looks to Edward- You may have one moment with her.

 

Renesmee: *turning to dad, scared and upset* Dad. . .

 

Edward: *nods and turns to Nessie* I know you are frightened, but they will not hurt you, and Carlisle, Bella and I will not be far. I promise you nothing is going to happen. *looks to Bella for reassurance*

 

Aro: -looks to edward impatiently-

 

Renesmee: *biting my lip as I listen to you - nods* Alright. . . *hugs you tightly*

 

Edward: *Narrows my eyes at Aro*

 

Bella: *nodding* Nothing at all Ness. we love you okay

 

Aro: -looks to Edward and bella- Enough time -nods to corin-

 

Carlisle: *It's alright, Ness* Nods and tries to give you a reassuring smile*

 

Edward: *hugs Nessie, closing my eyes and ensuring through the thoughts of others she will not be harmed*

 

Felix: *rolling my eyes* Can we please hurry this family goodbye up. I have duties to tend to

 

Renesmee: *moves to hug mom and grandpa*

 

Corin: -Nodding at Master Aro- Come along Child, your room is this way -Waiting for Renesmee to follow-

 

Bella: *hugging Ness with a glare towards Felix*

 

Carlisle: *hugs you whispering* Be strong, show him what a true Cullen is like *smiles weakly, letting you go*

 

Aro: -smirks at Calisle's words-

 

Edward: *Stands with Bella and Carlisle, watching Nessie leave, my anger building at Felix, Aro, and the rest of the so called Volturi* We love you Ness. Be the brave girl we know you to be.

 

Renesmee: *taking a deep breath before moving toward Corin - turns to my family* I love you guys.

 

Jane: -takes a step back to Master Aro's side-

 

Edward: We love you Renesmee. We are right here, in this together. *Glares as Corin waits*

 

Felix: Lets go Edward

 

Corin: -Resisting the urge to roll my eyes, before putting my hand on Renesmee's shoulder, leading her out of the room-

 

Bella: *resisting the urge to run after Ness a she is escorted out, my anger turning towards Felix*

 

Edward: *Growls at Felix* Don't even try it. *Shrugs away from you, taking Bella's hand and turning to Carlisle, assesing the sitution*

 

Renesmee: *growling quietly as Corin touches my shoulder - shruging your hand off, mumbles* Don't touch me. . .

 

Felix: I believe my duties were to show you to your room, we can do this the nice way or the way I would much rather prefer. Its up to you.

 

Aro: -looks to marcus and athena- Apparently the Cullens have not taught the young one respect

 

Athena: *smirks back at Aro* It would seem so

 

Edward: *Smirks hearing Nessie's thoughts as she leaves* That's my girl. *Turns back to Felix, narrowing my eyes* We'll follow.

 

Bella: *clutching Edward's hand tighter as we follow Felix*

 

Jane: -laughs at Master Aro's remark about respect-

 

Corin: -Removes my hand, glaring- Only because the Masters want you treated well I will. Otherwise things would be very different Child. -Swiftly turning down a corridor-

 

Edward: *Glares at Aro, Athena and Jane* There are quite a few people who need to learn about respect. *Walks with Bella and Carlisle*

 

Felix: *glaring back* Such as yourself Edward.

 

Marcus: *hears the child's heartbeat approaching down the hallway as I grump about my room muttering about my routine being disrupted for the Cullen clan*

 

Jane: -Looks to Aro- I'm happy to teach them a little respect, Master -smirks matter of factly-

 

Renesmee: *follows Corin down the corridor, grumbling as I walk*

 

Edward: *Choosing to remain silent, ignoring Felix's remark for the time being, making a mental note for later*

 

Felix: *leading the way down the west wing,nodding at two doors:: Carlisle your usual chambers of course and the other is for you Edward and Bella

 

Aro: -looks to jane- That will not be necessary Jane

 

Aro: -looks to Athena and back to jane- Keep a watch on them

 

Bella: *breaking off from Edward quickly into the room, wishing to hide how upset I am*

 

Aro: Make sure my plans arent disturbed

 

Edward: *Lowers my gaze, and enters the room with one last glance at Carlisle, nodding with understanding that a talk between us is needed*

 

Jane: As you wish, Master -Nods respectfully-

 

Corin: -Reaching the East Wing, and walking down the silent corridor- This Child, is the East Wing, where you will be staying during your visit. -Pausing at a large door- This is your room.

 

Felix: *grinning smugly* Have a wonderful night Edward

 

Renesmee: *looking at the room in awe - looks at you quickly* Really? This is MY room? *was expecting a dungen*

 

Carlisle: *nods at Edward, disappearing into my room, shutting the door*

 

Edward: *Glares at Felix* It will be once you leave. *shutting the door abruptly*

 

Corin: -Rolling my eyes- Yes it is. Now go inside. I have duties to get to Child. Have a....pleasant night.

 

Marcus: *hears Corin and the girl in the room next to mine and slams my desk drawer shut* Perfect, now I will have to listen to her teenage angst all night. *mutters grumpily*

 

Renesmee: *walks in - mumbles* Rude . . *closes the door*

 

Jane: -disappears silently down the hall-

 

Edward: *Walks to the window, looking out over Volterra, pulling Bella to my side, and trying to soothe her worry* She will be alright. I swear it.

 

Felix: *smiling cheerfully as I walk back towards my chambers. Happy to be back at home in the castle*

 

Aro: -looks to Athena- We are finished dear sister I will escort you to your chambers.

 

Aro: -holds the door open as you enter through-

 

Athena: *stands and heads to Aros side* Thank you brother

It is my belief that Aro ordered the separation to keep Edward and Bella from interfering with his plans. They have no choice but to go along with this, as they are outnumbered, and must respect Aro's wishes.
