Father Son Reconciliation *Carlisle and Jasper*
The party was a huge success! The Cullens were able to enjoy the festivities as a family united.
Carlisle - *walks in, clad as the Cheshire Cat*
Jasper - *Stiffening instantly as Carlisle enters.*
Alice - *looking over at Carlisle before I look up to Jasper, seeing the tension rise between them*
Carlisle - *smiles and mingles through the crowd*
Jasper - *Taking a breath, trying to keep myself calm, squeezing Alice's hand softly.*
Carlisle - *gets my composure and makes my way to Alice and Jasper*
Alice - *taking Jasper's hand as I nod to him, whispering* you can do this, he loves you Jazzy...
Jasper - *Looking at Carlisle for a moment before nodding.* Carlisle.
Carlisle - Can we talk, Jasper?
Jasper - *Taking a deep breath, everything coming down to this moment.* Alright.
Carlisle - *nods and gestures to a quiet corner of the room*
Jasper - *Kissing Alice's hand softly and moving to the corner with him.*
Esme - *Enters the room moving swiftly to Carlisle's side, nodding at our guests*
Jasper - *Standing in the corner now with Carlisle, looking at him with a raised eyebrow, his emotion confusing me.*
Carlisle - *relaxes under Esme's touch knowing what I must do* Jasper, I know my words were harsh and I just want to set something straight...
Esme - *Smiles at Carlisle and Jasper, taking Carlisle's hand*
Jasper - *Nodding once.* Go on.
Carlisle - Families have issues, ours is most certainly not exempt *looks around at Rose and Emmett, Alice and Esme & Edward* We say things that don't come out the way we intend. We make mistakes...
Esme - *listens to Carlisle speak, smiling at his words*
Jasper - *Nodding my head, looking down at my hands.* I appologize for causing trouble.
Carlisle - I know Jasper and I never meant to make you feel unwanted. You know me better than that. It got out of hand, the chaos, the blood the noise. I just went into full protective mode.
Esme - *Squeezes Carlisle's hand, nodding in agreement*
Jasper - *Nodding.* I understand.
Carlisle - What I mean to say is that I am sorry i made you feel like you werent welcome. We're a family, Jasper. Each of us equally important to keep the foundation strong.
Jasper - *Sighing.* I appologize for bein' the one to make you feel to that point... I mean... I wish I could do better for you, to make things easier and I am sorry I do not seem to do that.
Carlisle - It's a learning process. You haven't been at it as long as we have. *puts my hand on his shoulder* Let's get past this, we're stronger than this.
Esme - *Stands behind Carlisle, so proud of them both for making this right for our family*
Jasper - *Offering a small smile.* We will go past this.
Carlisle - Each of us needs to practice self discipline. *nods and smiles* Discipline is based on pride, on meticulous attention to details, and on mutual respect and confidence.I respect you Jasper, I just forgot to show it.
Jasper - *Looking around us.* I understand. You are correct. and I respect you also Carlisle. Even if I did not show it myself.
Carlisle - *nods one final time taking Esme's hand, turning to mingle*
Jasper - *Taking Alice's hand and leading her away with a small smile at Esme.*
Esme - *Smiling to Jasper as we walk into the party, so happy to have this family back together*
Alice - *taking Jasper's hand as I smile up at him, so happy to have him home with us* I love you Jazzy *beaming as I twirl for him in my dress, winking*
