July 9th, 2010 - Cullen Family Meeting

At 8am this morning, the Cullen family gathered to discuss the situation at hand..

Carlisle - As you all know, we have some visitors here in Forks with the sole motive of taking Renesmee

Esme - *Stands wth Carlisle as he speaks, seeing the worry in his eyes*

Carlisle - *puts my arm over Esme's shoulders* Alice, please tell us what you've seem

Edward -*Clenches my fists*

Alice - *looking to Carlisle* Aro..I can't see him, he won't let me but he has been setting his eyes on Nessie, he wants her talents with him..he covets making her in the guard...

Edward -*Listens to Alice, never needing her to converse so openly, a snarl slipping its way through my clenched jaw at the mere thought of Aro* He cannot have her.

Alice - ...he wants her Edward..he will not take no for an awswer...

Edward - He spoke of such yesterday. He will take her by force if we decline.

Alice - *looking around to everyone in the family and our friends*..and the guard is here, watching us...they are ready if we try to flee

Carlisle - *feels rage burning within me*

Emmett - So what do we do? Just let them take her?

Edward - *Growls once more, balling up my fists as I see Felix and Corin flutter through Alice's mind* This is unacceptable. *nods at Carlisle* We have to protect her.

Carlisle - *paces slowly* They will do no such thing. I know Aro, perhaps I can pursuade him to change his mind

Esme - *Looks to Carlisle, hoping he is right*

Emmett - Carlisle you kow Aro. He will not give up on what he wants

Alice - *looking to Edward as I see a possible change in path, the colors changing from dark to light* Father, you must go...it could help.

Edward - He will not change his mind, he was very adamant. *looks to Alice, knowing what she sees, Volterra becoming our family's direction*

Carlisle -*Locks eyes with Emmett* I have to try. Our only other options are to stand and fight. I have to try to reason with him first

Esme - Carlisle .. go to Volterra? *Looks to Alice, and Edward, then back to Carlisle, eyes full of concern*

Alice - *the paths flickering and conflicting in my head, to many uncertanties, too many decisions not yet in stone*

Carlisle - *nods at Esme* Yes

Edward - Alice.. are you sure? *Glances to you, understanding the indecision, wishing that something more concrete was available*

Emmett - ::nodding my head as I glance around:: I want to go. If there is a fight I need to be there.

Esme - We are strongest as a family, but Aro has history with Carlisle.

Alice - *looking to Edward* The moment Carlisle's decision to join you there was set, all that happened in my visions is more opportunities...and we need those opportunities. There is hope

Carlisle - *Looks at Alice, nodding* It is the only way

Edward - *Growls, slamming my fist into the coffee table, and cringing as I think about Nessie upstairs, my life, my family* I don't like this.

Alice - *my mind seeing the horrible visions collide with the new visions of a chance to get through this* There is a chance...as long as there is a chance we can't give up.

Esme - Emmett... please don't entertain such thoughts. Leave this for your Edward and your faher. *Glances to Edward and his rage*

Emmett - Esme I need to though. I have strength, you know they will not back down

Edward - *Calms myself as Esme's thoughts hit me*

Alice -*looking to Emmett* We need you here, the guard will still be here...we all need to stay safe

Esme - No, Emmett. I beg of you dont. *looks to Carlisle* I can't have all of you away from the house.

Emmett - ::clenching my fist:: Fine but if there are any signs of danger I'm going.

Rosalie - *walking into the house, frowning at what I hear* No you will not Emmett.

Alice - Somebody needs to keep our loved ones here safe, think of Charlie and all of our human friends...

Edward - So that's it then? We're going? *Growls* We give into Ao? *looks to Alice and Carlisle as Rose enters, hearing instantly of her perimeter search with Jasper*

Carlisle - Emmett I need you, Rosalie, Alice and Jasper to stay here with Esme

Esme -*looks down, taking Carlisle's hand* It will be hard enough to have the family separated.

Carlisle -*nods at Edward* Yes, you, Bella and myself will take Renesmee

Emmett - ::sighing as I pull Rose closer to me:: Fine but I don't like this Carlisle.

Edward - *Walks over to Carlisle* You know this will not end well.

Rosalie - *taking a seat beside Emmett* Jasper is still looking but there were traces of their scents on the perimeter. It's very unnerving.

Emmett - She is just a child.This is ridiculous.

Alice - *looking to Edward, assuring him that I will keep eye as more details are solidified, letting him know that my visions show that there is no other way*

Carlisle -With your gift, Bella's and my experience with the Volturi, I am confident that Renesmee's safety will be secure

Emmett - ::rasising an eyebrow at the thought of who may be here.::

Edward - *Nods to Alice, hearing of her plans, and the safety of our family, answering our silent conversation* Thank you. *Looks to Carlisle* Aro has something up his sleeve. I can feel it.

Esme - *Looks out to the forest after rosalie's announement, knowing the Volturi are watching*

Carlisle - *pulls Esme close, reassuring her silently*

Carlisle -It's decided then. *looks at the family* Edward, Bella and I will bring Renesmee

Carlisle - The rest of you, don't let your guard down

Edward - *Sighs* I am not happy about this, but perhaps it is for the best. *looks to Alice, then to the family* However...There is something you should all know.

Emmett -::pressing my mouth together in anger as I stay silent::

Carlisle - They know we are strong in numbers, when we are separated, that is our weakness. You must be on guard

Alice -*looking up at Edward, seeing my biggest blind spot*..and what of Jacob?

Edward - *Pinches the bridge of my nose* We had a little...altercation yesterday in my haste to retrieve Ness. *looks up* I have not told Ness what is going on, and Jacob has become increasingly bothersome about it. I will have to tell them both. He will not be happy. I am expecting it to come to blows.

Emmett - Oh now we will have to deal with the dogs to::huffing as I look to Edward::

Carlisle - *stands deep in thought, anticipating the future events* The wolves, Soon they will know, if the do not already

Edward - *Growls at emmett* I am doing this to protect Nessie. She is what matters here, not Jacob and his pack. Remember that.

Edward - Jacob will not let Nessie go without a fight, and.. *Looks to Alice* We cannot see his reaction.

Carlisle - Our alliance with the wolves will add to your safety here *looks at Emmett, Rose, Alice and Esme* Use it.

Alice - *shock showing across my features as I hear them, shaking my head as I see nothing of the wolves*

Esme - *nods at Carlisle, knowing the truth of his words*

Rosalie - I'm sure you will handle it in your 'unique' manner Edward *frowning at Carlisles words at the prospect of wolves*

Alice -They love Ness as much as we do, we will work to find a common understanding, we have to..we all have to come together..this is Ness, all for her.

Edward -Aro spoke of a plane waiting for us in Seattle. He has given me few days to decide, and if this is our decision... *Clenches my teeth, looking to rose* .. then perhaps I should warn Nessie.. and Jacob.

Emmett - Well then I guess its settled then::gritting my teeth as I look around::

Carlisle -They love Renesmee *nods at Alice* and we are part of her life, they respect us for that. They have proven this in the past, they will protect us with their very lives.

Edward - *nods at Carlisle* Jacob will protect her, he will not want her to go. We may have to leave in a hurry.

Esme - *Places my hand on Carlisle's back as he stands deep in thought, our family being brought together to protect Renesmee once again*

Alice -*nodding in agreement, searching my visions for the safety of the flight, looking for traps, looking for anything that will help* I see how upset Ness will be...but I see you arriving to Volterra safe..

Carlisle -We need Jacob HERE *looks sternly at Edward* Yes our departure must be swift

Edward - *Looking to Alice as I see her thoughts of travel, Aro's welcome, Nessie's upset, knowing how things will happen now, glancing back to Carlisle* I will prepare Bella and Nessie. I will speak with
Jacob tomorrow myself. It is safest that way.

Edward - If Jacob comes with us, we will have no direct link to Alice's visions.

Alice -*nodding to Edward* I need every advantage in my visions for you to be safe

Rosalie -Then force the Mongrel to stay here, as much as I hate to confess that

Edward - *Sighs with relief, knowing from Alice's vision we will have safe passage for the moment* You must keep in contact with us, Alice.

Esme -*Looks to Rose* Jacob is a part of this family, I know that he would want Nessie safe just as mch as we do.

Carlisle - Her safety is his priority. he would not jeopardize that

Edward - *nods at Rose* Jacob sould stay here.

Alice - It is my promise Edward, I will keep a constant watch..they won't be able to hide from my visions once you arrive as much as now. I promise Edward, Nessie is our heart..we will make sure she has every advantage.

Emmett -::staying silent as I listen, the prospect of Ness going and me staying making me angry::

Carlisle -*states firmly* He has no choice in the matter. He WILL remain here. IF not by choice, by force.

Carlisle -*Nods at Emmett with silent understanding*

Edward -*Nodding in agreement with Alice, Emmett's thoughts starting to overwhelm me, knowing how much t angers him, hoping he can see it does the same for me*

Edward -Jacob will not be so "kind" about the forced part, Carlisle. *Stifling a chuckle*

Rosalie -*holding Emmett's hand tightly, trying to not let my anger and upset overwhelm me*

Carlisle -I assure you, he will see that it is the only way that Renesmee's protection can be guaranteed. He will remain here, without a fight.

Edward -*Looks to the stairs, knowing Bella can hear the conversation, the thought of Jacob fighting will not please her if it came to that*

Edward -*Glances over at Rosalie, lowering my gaze as her thoughts spill across the open space towards me, anger, sadness, and fury at the thought of what is to come*

Edward - Bella and I will tell Renesmee. Can I ask you all to keep your thoughts about this to yourselves?

Esme -*Nods at Edward with understanding* Of course.

Alice -*nodding, knowing this will be hard enough for Ness to take already, knowing that is best*

Carlisle -Of course, Edward

Edward -We will tell her, along with Jacob, tomorrow before we leave. I don't want to give Ness time to do something drastic. *looks to Alice* Please.

Emmett -Sure Sure::nodding my head I stare down::

Carlisle -*makes eyecontact with Edward, thoughts of reassurance streaming*

Edward -*Sighs, and nods to Carlisle, his silent words always a comfort* Thank you for doing this.

Bella - *walks downstairs, looking sullen* She's starting to wake up

Edward -*Breathes deeply, instantly at Bella's side* Is she alright?

Esme -*Smiles at bella, hearing Nessie stir upstairs*

Bella -*nods* yes. She stirred a bit throughout the night. I doubt if she had a decent sleep.

Edward - Can you concentrate on so much without letting your guard down, Alice? *Narrows my eyes before turning back to Bella* Everything is going to be alright. We will take her to Volterra to avoid a fight being brought here. Carlisle will accompany us.

Bella - *Nods* I heard it all. I just wish there were another way.

Edward -I know my love. *Kisses your forehead, my mind attuned to everyone, understanding all the anger and concern* We will do this as a family.

Alice - *narrowing my eyes at Edward back as I take a breath* As a family.

Carlisle - I will leave you to discuss this. I must notify Doctor Anders of my leave of absence. Please excuse me *nods, sending one last stream of thought to Edward, reassuring him that this is the best and only solution*

Esme -*Looks to Carlisle* I will prepare your things. *Swallows* For Volterra. *Takes your hand, knowing this is the only way*

Carlisle -*nods at Esme, taking her hand, disappearing down the hall*

Edward - *Forces a smile* I will let you know when things are in order for our departure.

Carlisle -*Answers Edward from behind the closed door* Thank you, son.

Rosalie - *Still silent, lost in my thoughts, taking in the suddeness of everything*

Alice - *nodding, seeing Jasper on to a trail in my visions, getting up and moving towards the door* I will keep eye Edward, you have my word...

Emmett -::grasping Rose's hand with a nod toward the stairs::

Edward -*nods towards Carlisle's office, turning back to my family* Rosalie, it's the only way. *Looks up to Alice* Stay close. I need to know.

Alice -*nods once more as I look to everyone* Stay safe...the guard is close...*dashing out the door to follow my visions and meet Jasper*

Edward -*Takes Bella by the hand, starting to walk upstairs* We need to get our story straight. Jacob and Nessie will not be happy. *Sighs* Come on love.

Rosalie -*standing up with Emmett, nodding to Edward* I know, it doesn't mean I approve of it at all.

Edward - *Turns and nods in agreement* That makes two of us, for once. *walks upstairs with Bella*

Bella -*takes edwards hand* She is going to hate this

Edward -*nods* And we must be prepared.
