I look around as my family gathers in the living room. The sounds of laughter, the feeling of warmth and a comfort that fills every corner of our home and fills my heart completely.

Though moments like these feel secure and eternal, I still remember my time before Jasper, before the Cullens. A time where I only had myself to rely on. I can remember a time when I felt like it was me against the world and though I had vision that someday Jasper and I would unite and find the Cullens, it felt like forever waiting for that day to come.

I would observe lovers and families spending time together. It looked so seamless for them, so second nature just to just exist in this warm cocoon together.

I wanted that more than anything in this entire world. As days turned in to nights, I would look towards my future with hope and determination. Somedays, I felt so much pain that I didn't know how I would be able to go on.

I would let myself feel that pain and use it to keep driving forward.

Now, I look back to that time and it makes me feel even that much more grateful for all of the love in my life that fills me and surrounds me.

If you ever feel alone, that you are lost and can't go on. You are not lost. You must believe in your future. You will be found.
