An Interactive Twilight Experience.
I had a rocking summer! I did go down to California as planned and just relaxed. It's nice having "me" time and the drive was lovely. Now it is back to reality.
School started. I was extremely nervous but the first week just passed. All of my nerves flew out the window as I got to know my students. I am teaching Music Appreciation and choir. I was nervous about not having enough students interested in choir to join, but I was wrong. Many people joined on the first day. Even the principal seemed shocked that more guys have joined this year than in the years prior. My sister seems to think that it's because I am teaching it. "Every school has that one hot teacher," was the exact words from her mouth. I wanted to punch her.
Anyways, I am amazed at the talent this town has. It's a small school and the choir only has 12 people in it, but I think we'll have a great year. I already have many plans for my students. Splitting them up based on vocal range, was easier than I thought. We have 4 altos, 3 sopranos, 3 tenors and 2 basses.
I think I am going to love this job!
This is my home away from home.
