An Interactive Twilight Experience.
It's unseasonably warm for February which has brought a significant increase of tourism to our small community of Volterra. Most are yearning for a break from their monotonous lives and a peek into an ancient culture with a vast, beautiful landscape, unlike their doldrum views from their kitchen sinks at home.
I take advantage of such breaks in the weather and have spent many a day out in the courtyard listening to Alec and Jane and Demetri and Corin as they chit-chat and laugh about this, that or the other thing. Chelsea and Afton have been busy with some project, I don't know what Caius has them working on but they have been quiet and attentive to that. Felix and Santiago are hunting and have been fortunate in their findings. The masters are pleased with their work. Over all, everyone is in high spirits and quite content. This is not always the case, as you know, so when it is, I take full advantage of it.
Caius has been overly attentive of me lately which I am grateful for and drink in every bit of his love as often as he cares to share it. He is a stoic man, very serious and dedicated to that which interests him and for the time being, things are going well and he has extra time and has been showering me with attention. At the present moment he is enjoying a bit of music in the conservatory with Aro, Renata and Marcus. A small chamber orchestra is touring the area and they have invited them to give us a private audition with the hopes of hiring them for a small gala to celebrate a new business venture that Caius has secured. I should be in there too but I slipped away to get my shawl and saw my diary all lonely so I decided to open it and pen a few lines.
