An Interactive Twilight Experience.
Yay for Spring break! I totally am so done with algebra! I had a test today and I did ok on it but I am really tired of studying! I'm glad we have the next week off. Mom and Connie and I are going to do some spring cleaning and then go into Port Angeles for some spring clothes shopping! I am looking forward to getting a new dress or two.
Quil and I have been doing a lot of hiking lately. Tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful and I can't wait! Hiking has become one of my favorite…

The New Year is a time of a new blank page yet to be written on. The beginning of a brand new year is a time to honor your past, live in your present and anticipate your future.
Honor the past. What did you experience over the past year? Celebrations, set backs, happiness and disappointments. What did you learn? How did you grow?
Live in your present. What are you grateful for? Are you satisfied with who and where you are? If yes, bask in it. If no, take this opportunity to…

Christmastime in Romania is a magical experience. Much has changed since the old days but at the same time, much has remained the same. The Sibiu Christmas market has been going for quite a few years now and has grown in size each year. It's an amazing…

We don't really do Christmas like everyone else. It's more of a day to just kinda hang out with family, eat really good food and exchange a few presents with close family. We don't have a Christmas tree or anything like that but I always put up some sparkly lights in my room. I'm weird, I love Christmas music so I always have them playing in my room too. I think we all like Christmas time. People seem to be more friendly and aware of each other. The rest of the year it seems like people bury…

We kinda do Thanksgiving differently here on the reservation. We do what we call a Harvest Festival. It's really fun! The boys do a cliff diving demonstration, there is a canoe race and a fishing tournament and then the big feast! Connie and I baked a ton of yummy stuff and it went so fast! Cupcakes and pies don't last long around here and neither do Emily's muffins!
Quil didn't win the canoe race and he was SO mad.. Jacob, of course, won AGAIN.. like the 5th year in a row or…

Within every family, we hold a treasure chest of secrets we hold sacred for one another. Sometimes it is as dramatic as well..your entire family is made up of cold immortal vampires but most of the time, it is simple small secrets that you trust one another with to keep.
Perhaps it is a family recipe or a small quirk. Whether your family secrets are big or small, it takes a level of trust and that trust builds your relationship into something astonishingly strong.
In our…

Quil took me to trick-or-treat around Forks and then we went back to the rec center for the party. It was so fun to see Aerie dressed up as a cute porcupine from SING. That kid loves to sing, I think she started singing before she even started talking!
I dressed up as Moana. I know.. I know.. but I just LOVE Disney movies and come on, Moana represents the Pacific Islanders and well, I might not be a Tropical Pacific Islander.. I'm still a Pacific girl so it worked for me! Quil…

The Pacific Northwest is rather mild as far as extreme temperatures go. We do, however, get quite a lot of precipitation and the autumn season is more dreary than the rest of the year. This makes Autumn and Winter some of my favorite months. We tend to spend a lot more time together outdoors now. It's a given really as the weather cooperates with our particular needs.
Hiking throughout the region is our family's favorite bonding activity. I've recently started a new hobby. Photography…

Have you ever taken a moment to really focus on if you are listening with intention or if you are simply hearing? Are you truly present for all that there is to learn and take in or are you simply taking in sheer noise that will evaporate after mere moments?
That is the beauty of being clairvoyant. There are clues and lessons in each beat to take in and turn into a path. It has trained me to not just hear but truly listen with the intention of learning all the meaning of what…

Style File by Alice: Contouring By Face Shape.
If you are on social media, you have probably heard people talking about contouring your face with makeup. If you are not a makeup maven, this can be overwhelming to know where to put it and with…

Picture this..you are standing on the edge of a cliff. Taking in the view around you in a breathtaking panorama. The dark clouds rolling in around you, shading in the forestry and cliffsides. The waves below you crashing violently in a warning to keep your distance.
You look out, knowing that danger is below you but safety will not stay with you up on the steep earth for long.
“Where is she?” I close my eyes, focusing as a blur of bright crimson red hair…

Looking around, this seems like it would be the last place in the world anyone would want to be. Standing from the side of the road, hidden behind a cluster of trees I take in the sleepy town of Forks. It has been exactly five minutes and forty-two seconds since the last car went by. My visions, generally quiet from the hustle and bustle of imagery brought on by Chicago and Biloxi. Heck, I thought Biloxi was slow but you would think Biloxi was Times Square compared to…

I'm getting ready and packing for Camp Kirby! I will be there from July 9th till the 15th. Quil is acting weird and grumpy because I'm going to be away for a few days, I kinda get it though. I will miss him too! I think he's going to be hanging out near by, if I'm honest!
Last week we went on the Camp Kirby website and I picked some activities to do. I want…

Can't wait till June 14th! That's our last day! My friends and I will play a lot over the summer. I can't wait! I'm also going to camp for a whole week in July. It's called Camp Kirby and me, Mia and Skyler are going ! This will be the first time I'm going to sleep away camp and I'm so excited. I'm a little nervous too. I am worried I'm going to forget something! There's tons of stuff to do there and we get to…

What a great time we had this weekend and even though I have school tomorrow, I'm still loving this day!
Today Quil and I made these for dessert! Mom and Connie made burgers on the grill and we had corn on the cob, a really yummy salad and then Quil and I made these awesome Watermelon Cupcakes for dessert!
I love cookouts! They are so fun and…

First, we have today and tomorrow and Monday off from school. A long weekend which is great. Only reason I have off is because the older kids have some testing they're doing and they are all using our school. I'm fine with that!
Alice picked me up really early and we went to Port Angeles! Get this.. I got the yummiest hot chocolate I have ever had! It had little pink and white marshmallows and a sprinkle of sweet cocoa powder on top. So YUMMY! If you go there, you gotta get…

Today is another dry day, the weekend was real nice and we got quite a lot done on the roof.
Last week a branch fell on the roof over Aerie's room. Nothing like going into a toddler's room at 3 am to find her jumping on her bed singing, "It's raining it's pouring!" and have that be the actual case.
It really WAS raining in her room. Needless to say, we were up at 3am for the day. I called Jake and he came over and tossed a tarp up on the roof till daylight. He climbed up…
