The Road Not Taken

 

Reflecting on the years that have passed since my transformation I am reminded of regrets this evening.  Why do my thoughts travel this way? I opened up one of my favorite books of poetry.   The collection of poems is Mountain Interval by Robert Frost.

 

In my favorite poem “The Road Not Taken”, he writes of two roads both well worn through the years and not recently travelled on.  He ponders which road he will choose.  He makes his choice and in his later years…

Introducing Tia to Amun and Kebi



Tia's transformation went very smoothly.  I showed her how to hunt and to keep to the shadows.

 

I admit now I was a little apprehensive in bringing her home to Amun and Kebi. I was unsure how they would react to another member of our group. As well as, I left without letting them know.

Looking for Tia

 

After being repeatedly told that I shouldn't go out looking for Tia because The Volturi would be looking for me. I decided that I had waited far to long and was worried about her. Knowing that my uncle was killed while Amun stole me, I didn't know what had happened to Tia and if she was all right or suffering. I couldn't bear it if she was suffering.

A Forgotten Cut

Forgotten Cut



(Title inspired from a Men's Journal magazine article title with the same title)



Time marches on as do we, though slower than most, we are not immune to time as most may think.

As we go through the paces, we lose sight of that which was sacred to us... humanity.

Some let it go completely. Perhaps they were misguided as humans and do not want to remember. Some try to hold onto it by keeping their stories written down. We do forget over time.…

Spring Awakening

Spring has always been one of my favorite seasons. When I was a kid, I just saw it as the time of year where all snow melted and air all around got warmer. We could start storing away all heavy winter clothing and wear lighter clothes the closer we got to summer. The part I preferred however was that we would soon start to be able to go play in the water on the beach and not only climbing trees or play in the woods.
